Inside the room you are in there is a laser blocking the way. There is a button on each side of the room the laser is separating.

Dess jumps over the chasm where a bridge should've formed if you solved the puzzle.

You enter the room where the fighting was happening. Dess is face down on the ground. Queen is standing on the other side of the room.
